The Olota of Ota, Oba Adeyemi Obalenge has provided a big boost to Cycle, the business that would provide traditional rulers with a bigger say in employment opportunities in Ogun state.

Cycle given approval by the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun to use Ogun state as a flag-off point is a bike-hailing service.

According to information available to societynow.ng the approval by the Ogun State Government for Cycle, which has a long-term plan to have a national outlook, to use its domain as flag off point comes with a major value for traditional rulers.

The traditional rulers will have the chance to provide 30% of the workforce at any of the Cycle units in their domains.

“That is 30% employment opportunities are reserved for the locals but the names to be submitted by the paramount ruler of that area. The ratio is 15% male and 15%, female .

Insiders disclosed that as part of a major contribution towards reaping this benefit and the hidden gains for his subjects and the state at large, Oba Obalenge who goes by the royal appellations Lalenge Ekun 11 and Arole Iganmode has gifted the promoters of Cycle a piece of land to serve as a base.

The land is within the Olota’s domain in Ogun West, Area of Ogun State.

The Land is said to be strategically located around the “old Toll Gate” not far from the border between Lagos and Ogun states along the Lagos/Abeokuta expressway.

Societynow.ng gathered that the Olota’s gift has been officially validated by the Ogun state government.

“From what I know, Cycle is good to go in Ogun state” societynow.ng learned.

The soon-to-be-launched application known as Cycler, which will be available on Google Play Store, allows the customers to see all the nearest “Cycle riders” and access their Whatsapp numbers.

The Cycle Bikes come with a 150cc engine capacity and a sun and rain-proof GPS monitor courtesy of MTN.

The monitor enables supervisors at the office to monitor the speed and locations of each bike at any point time.

“This will serve as major built-in security for customers and riders. The Bikes can be remotely controlled if they over-speed or demobilized if they are seen as going mapped out zones” societynow.ng learned.
