Ogun APC Members Across Groups Agree On Who Will Determine Abiodun’s Successor

Voices across different political structures within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state have agreed on who will have the final say on the gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 election.
According to the voices of the ruling party members on the streets, President Bola Tinubu will have the final say on who succeeds Governor Dapo Abiodun.
“The struggle is too intense among the leaders of the caucuses and has strong potential of massive blowback if not handled properly and it is an open secret that Ogun state holds a special significance for the President” is the consensus of opinions among APC members on the streets.
It was in Ogun state that, President Tinubu coined the pivotal “Emi Lokan (It is my turn)” saying that turned into a campaign slogan that gave him the Presidency.
Insiders within the APC insist that the belief that President Tinubu will have a big say in who becomes the party candidate in the next gubernatorial election is shared by party leaders dubbed “realists” in the state.
“What those who are interested in the position and those backing them are doing is to make themselves a force to be reckoned with decision time comes” an insider stated.
