Governor Rauf Aregbesola Picks Osun State House Of Assembly Speaker Najeem Salaam As Successor!

Outgoing governor of Osun state, Rauf Aregbesola has picked is successor.

And he is Speaker of the Osun state House of Assembly Najeem Salaam.

Sources disclosed the Osun state Chief Executive Officer as thrown his weight behind the candidature of Najeem and working passionately behind the scene to ensure he picks the gubernatorial ticket of the All Progressives Congress in state.

The Osun helms man is said to be quiet about his moves for the Speaker as part of strategy to spring a ‘’surprise’’.

But those in the know claimed for the discerning ‘’the cat is already out of the bag’’

‘’what he is hiding is already a growing knowledge, his leanings regarding who succeeds him is already in the open’’ a source claimed.

Aregbesola faces major opposition within and outside his party in enthroning his preferred choice as successor.

Amongst major power brokers against him within his political party are Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives Lasun Yusuf and Sitting Senator and former governor of the state, Isiaka Adeleke.

The duo – and others – are said to be against the style of administration of Argebesola and sees anybody he chooses to succeed him as an extension of what they oppose.
