“A Political Colossus!” — Adeleke Showers Praise on Moshood Adeoti

Ademola Adeleke has celebrated former Secretary to the Osun State Government, Moshood Olalekan Adeoti, on the occasion of his 73rd birthday, describing him as a “political colossus” whose influence in the state’s political evolution remains profound.

In a congratulatory message issued on Thursday in Osogbo, the governor eulogised the Iwo-born politician for what he termed decades of unwavering dedication to public service, noting that Adeoti’s contributions to governance and grassroots mobilisation have left lasting imprints on the state’s development trajectory.

“It is a thing of pride to celebrate one of the most influential figures in the Osun political space, Alhaji Moshood Olalekan Osuolale Adeoti, on the auspicious occasion of his 73rd birthday,” Adeleke said, adding “Alhaji Adeoti is not just any politician, but a true reflection of what dedicated service looks like and the benefits that accrue to the people.”

Adeleke traced Adeoti’s political journey from securing a councillorship seat in the 1980s to serving as Secretary to the State Government for over seven years, describing him as a distinguished public servant whose role in the current progress recorded in Osun cannot be ignored.

“In over five decades of active participation in politics, Alhaji Adeoti stands out as a builder of dreams and an active participant in driving progress for Osun State,” the governor declared, praying “As he turns 73 years today, I join family, friends and associates in appreciating Almighty Allah for his life of impact and the contributions to our dear state that define him.”

The governor also acknowledged Adeoti’s enduring grassroots appeal and extensive political structures across the state, appreciating his decision to align with the administration’s objective of advancing development.

While offering prayers for the celebrant, Adeleke said he asked Allah to “bless him with more celebrations in good health and sound mind so that society can continue to enjoy the huge benefits of his kind nature and also draw from his experience in governance and politics of development to advance communities.”
