Details: The Macallan To Unveil 2022 M Collection On Friday
the first of its kind in West Africa
In celebration of its six pillars, exceptional spirit and almost two hundred years of mastery, The Macallan is set to launch the 2022 edition of its limited M collection series in West Africa, through the Nigerian market at the Art Hotel, Lagos, on Friday, June 2, 2023.
Comprising of The Macallan M Decanter, The Macallan M Black and The Macallan M Copper, the collection is a result of a collaboration formed with renowned art director Fabien Baron and crystal creators, Lalique. Crafted to reflect the brand’s spirit, and designed with prismatic creativity and precision, it celebrates the brand’s six pillars — Natural Colour, Mastery, Curiously Small Spirit Stills, The Macallan Estate, Exceptional Oak Casks and Sherry Seasoning.
Speaking towards the event, Brand Manager, Edrington Portfolio, Nigeria, Hammed Adebiyi, stated, “The Macallan M collection is a celebration of the brand’s six pillars, the foundation stones on which almost 200 years of excellence and its renowned quality rests on. The collection showcases the unique attributes and uncompromised excellence of The Macallan, and we are delighted to bring the experience to Nigeria.”
The launch, which is the first of its kind in West Africa, sits at the intersection of art, food, and whisky, creating a fusion of Nigerian and Scottish heritage. It will conjure up an elite gathering of Nigeria’s whisky connoisseurs, art lovers and the biggest names in the entertainment and business industry.
Guests will be immersed in an experience like no other, as various expressions of The Macallan, including The Macallan 12 Years Old Double Cask, The Macallan 18 Years Old Sherry Oak, The Macallan Rare Cask 2022 release, as well as The Macallan M collection will be explored through key sensory lenses. The Art Hotel’s impeccable Executive Chef, Chef Wole, will also craft assorted gastronomic presentations to complement The Macallan M Collection.
Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, The Macallan is renowned worldwide for its extraordinary, ultra-prestige single malt whisky. In 2018, the Scottish brand opened a new chapter in its history with the launch of its award-winning Speyside distillery.
The creation of The Macallan draws on the vital contributing influences of Spain, North America, and Scotland – and of their respective natural raw materials, combined with traditional methods and craftsmanship.
