A parish of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) is working towards establishing a university.

Sharon Parish, located in Ikorodu, Lagos, as part of the chain of Sharon Parishes, already runs a nursery and primary school, providing affordable—and in some cases free—education to members and the needy within its area of influence.

The nursery and primary school, named Sharon Springs School, was commissioned on September 3, 2022, and is approved by the Lagos State Government.

The head of the school, Evangelist Solope Odunuga, disclosed that there is a plan underway to establish a secondary school and a university.

Odunuga made the disclosure on Sunday while speaking to Sharon TV, the media arm of the parish.

He disclosed a projected 10-year plan or less to get things running.

The conversation was part of the activities to commemorate the 21st adult harvest of Sharon Parish, which coincided with the 67th birthday of Shepherd Sunday Olufemifere Sofowora.

Sofowora, a Senior Evangelist, is the founder and Shepherd-in-charge of Sharon Parishes worldwide.

Aside from providing free and affordable education through Sharon Springs School, the Celestial Church of Christ Parish is also touching lives through food banks and other life-impacting initiatives.

Sharon Parish operates within the fold of the lager Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide founded by late Pastor Samuel Bilehou Oshoffa in 1947.

His son, Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa is the current Pastor
