The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) has taken a giant step to bring its parishes worldwide under one Pastor.
Information at hand reveals that the Transition High Council for the unity and harmonization of the famed white garment church has been set up.
The influential body was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Benin, Patrice Talon, on Saturday, April 25, 2025.
The event took place at the Salle Rouge du Palais des Congrès de Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
Insiders disclosed that this development is the outcome of a peace meeting organized by President Talon with leaders of different factions of the immensely popular Christian ministry, founded by the late Pastor Samuel Biléhou Oshoffa in September 1947.
The Benin Republic President has been at the forefront of efforts to settle the leadership disputes that have rocked the church and spilled into the courts, creating a chain reaction of self-declared pastors in different parts of the world.
Although Pastor Emmanuel Oshoffa continues to preside over the national and international headquarters — maintaining control of all major symbols, institutions, and the legacy of the late founder — the fractures within the church have continued to hurt the Christian fold.
This has particularly affected the enforcement of discipline and efforts to curb practices that tarnish CCC’s image and integrity.
Sources confirm that dissidents have been exploiting the divisions, playing factions against one another to escape accountability for bad behaviour.
Checks revealed that while several previous moves to unify the church had failed, there is now great optimism across several quarters.
The confidence stems from the stature of President Talon and the deliberate, intentional approach he is bringing to the reconciliation efforts.
