BUA Group Seal Deal With Green Power International For 22MW Gas Plant To Boost IRS Flour & Pasta Expansion

BUA Group has signed an agreement with Green Power International PVT Limited to develop a 22-megawatt gas-based power plant that will support the ongoing expansion of IRS Flour & Pasta, one of the company’s fast-growing food processing operations.
The deal was signed on December 2, 2025, in Dubai by Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder and Executive Chairman of BUA Group, and Ashu Jain, Executive Director of Green Power International PVT Limited. Rabih Yazbeck, Regional Director at MWM, witnessed the signing.
The new plant is expected to provide dedicated, reliable, and energy-efficient power to IRS Flour & Pasta’s upgraded production lines, ensuring consistent output and strengthening the company’s drive toward increased local production capacity.
Insiders say the partnership aligns with BUA Group’s broader strategy of deploying modern, sustainable, and cleaner energy solutions across its industrial operations.
The project also reinforces ongoing investments in Nigeria’s agro-processing sector, aimed at reducing import dependence and boosting food security sources added.
The signing ceremony took place at the BUA Group Middle East office in Dubai.
