Ayo Fayose, Ladi Adebutu In Deep Seethed Quarrel Over NMulti Billion Campaign Fund
There is trouble in paradise for Governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose and the man aspiring to be the helmsman of Ogun state, Ladi Adebutu.
There is said to be. Simmering quarrel between the duo over issues of campaign fund.
Sources confirmed that Fayose is the source of Adebutu’s relevance at the National level of the People’s Democratic Party.
Adebutu had leveraged on the relationship with Fayose to hijack control of the national executives recognized PDP structure in Ogun state.
Benefactor turned arch-enemy Senator Kashamu Buruji retains control of the Ogun state PDP faction recognized by the electoral umpire, Independent Electoral Commission.
Insiders disclosed that based on the arrangement between them, Adebutu had promised to avail his campaign fund to Fayose to help replicate the same strategy that returned the Ekiti man to the number one spot in his state.
Fayose is decorated with the tag of extraordinary grassroots mobilizer in his state.
Adebutu wanted to replicate the Fayose approach in Ogun state.
But his billionaire father, Kessinghton Adebutu – bankrolling the campaign – would have none of that.
He put his foot down that tested and trusted former two-term Governor of Ogun state Gbenga Daniel be in charge of the campaign.
And the campaign budget estimated to be about N5billion be given to Daniel.
Sources disclosed the development has not gone down well with Fayose.
He is said to have garbed Adebutu the robe of ‘’not man enough’’ in expressing his angst of the happenstance.
A development that reportedly greatly infuriated the Ogun state gubernatorial aspirant to no end.
