joined other voters in exercising his civic duty
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on Saturday joined other voters in exercising his civic duty during the ongoing by-election for the Remo Federal Constituency.
The Governor cast his ballot at Polling Unit 002, Ward 3, Ita-Osanyin, Iperu, in Ikenne Local Government Area, where he arrived in the morning to participate in the electoral process.
Speaking after voting, Governor Abiodun commended the peaceful conduct of the by-election and lauded the seamless nature of the exercise.
He further praised the high level of preparedness demonstrated by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), noting that the process was orderly and efficient at his polling unit.
The Governor expressed optimism that the by-election would continue in the same peaceful atmosphere across the constituency, stressing that the credibility of the process was vital to strengthening democracy in Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
The Remo Federal Constituency by-election was necessitated following the vacancy of the seat in the House of Representatives, and voters across Ikenne, Sagamu, and Remo North turned out to choose a new representative.
