First Bank Managers Arrested, In Detention Over N200m Fraud
…as indicted marketer, hubby abscond
Financial Institution with gentleman, Bisi Onasanya as helmsman- First Bank is at present enmeshed in a N200m fraud.
And alarmingly- the bank’s staffers are tagged perpetrators of the scam.
Two managers said to have been arrested and in detention over the matter.
Another indicted employee labelled a marketer is said to have absconded with her husband over the matter.
Sources divulged the identity of those
Bisi Onasanya
involved as ‘Sola Osundina, Branch Manager of Daleko Branch…Sola Carew, Branch Manager of Matori branch and Joy Lucas~Uche, Marketer at Matori branch’
Managers Sola Osundina and Sola Carew are currently held and undergoing interrogation over the matter at the Special Fraud Unit, Milverton road- Ikoyi.
Marketer, Joy Uche lucas and her hubby, Lucas Uche are said to have absconded over the issue. The police are said to be on their trail.
Insiders explained details of the scam thus:
‘They financed local purchase order worth N200m. The money will be drooped on account of a customer, Genuinelyness Outlook and His Mercy Interbiz. later transferred to another account in another First Bank
bank’.
‘After a while they attempt to write off the transaction as business gone bad with the customer no where to be found’
Sources claimed a keener approach by other stake holders in the bank brought in police investigators into the affair.
Bank Spokes person Folake Ani-Mumuney did not respond to enquiry on the matter.
