Ogun Guber: Gboyega “GNI” Isiaka Will Go To The Wire with Senator Yayi – Insiders
is not giving up on his gubernatorial ambition.
Insiders say Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, the member of the Federal House of Representatives from Egbado and Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, is not giving up on his gubernatorial ambition.
Those in the know reveal that the popular politician, known widely as GNI, plans to go the whole hog in pursuit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial ticket for 2027.

“He plans to go to the wire with Yayi in the gubernatorial race,” insiders say.
Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, famously known as Yayi, is the statewide frontrunner in the race to succeed Governor Dapo Abiodun in 2027.
Abiodun will leave office after completing two terms of four years each, having first assumed office in 2019.
Senator Yayi and Rep. member GNI are both from Ogun West and belong to the ruling APC, like Governor Abiodun.

While Yayi is making a run for the Ogun State governorship for the first time, GNI is making a fourth bid, after previous attempts in 2011, 2015, and 2019.
Senator Yayi’s bid is riding on the wings of a whirlwind campaign that has brought unprecedented development to Ogun West, while GNI is adopting a lower-profile approach—leveraging his past experience and the resilience to go the distance, sources say.
Both politicians hail from a region with historically low voting numbers and which has never produced a governor since the creation of the state in 1976.
