Video: Gov Abiodun, Senator Yayi Continue To Shut Down Talks Of Quarrel

The Governor of Ogun State Dapo and Senator representing Ogun West, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola famously known as Yayi continue to dispel talks of a cold way with their actions. 

They were both at the book launch in celebration of the 85th birthday of former Ogun state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.

Osoba, a very close ally of President Bola Tinubu is the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state.

The book in his honour titled “My Life In Public Eye” was launched at the Eko Hotel and Suites on Saturday,  July 13, 2024

The Governor and Senator arrived the event together, gisting as they strolled into the venue.

The development is another kick against claims that Abiodun and Adeola Yayi are quarrelling over who becomes the next Governor of Ogun state.

Yayi is widely acknowledged a strong contender, although he insists the decision on who becomes the gubernatorial candidate of his political party, the APC, for the next governorship election in Ogun state remains that of the “party leaders”.

Yayi had issued a statement to address the concerns around who becomes the next Governor of Ogun state, labelling  “quarrel” with Abiodun as non-existent while pledging his continuing loyality to the Governor.

Senator Yayi played a prominent Abiodun becoming Governor in 2019 and his re-election in 2023.

The talks of quarrel between the two leaders of the APC in Ogun state is hinged on claims that Abiodun is considering backing another candidate as successor in alleged bid to secure strong after-office political relevance
