what is entrenching talks about them

Multiple checks revealed that two politicians are attracting major interest on the streets of Ogun state.

They are the Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, and the representative of Ogun West in the Senate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

The two Senators are neck-deep in the moves and counter-moves to determine who will be elected into the office of the Governor of Ogun state, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta in 2027.

While Senator Adeola – more popularly known as Yayi – is working hard to become the next Governor of Ogun state, OGD ( derived from Otunba Gbenga Daniel) is at the forefront of collaborations to get another person elected.

Checks revealed that while these attributions play no little roles in keeping the two politicians on the lips of many, what is entrenching talks about them is how they are carrying on.

The two politicians remain very intentional in being visible.

“They are not just carrying on like they are still campaigning, after winning their elections, but have increased their efforts” according to an observer.

Senator Yayi is said to have become more deliberate in meetings and reaching out to groups, institutions, and persons – directly and indirectly.

His empowerment scheme is said to have become such that more people are trumpeting about his interventions. Word of mouth is throwing up his chances of achieving his gubernatorial ambition as good – despite being from a minority area yet to produce a Governor.

Warhorse, Gbenga Daniel is doing what he does –forging alliances, touching lives – and more.

The more is the very intentional use of social media to spread his message and make him more appealing to younger people.

Gbenga Daniel is 67 – will be 68 on Saturday, April 6, 2024 -, while Solomon Adeola is 54 – will be 55 on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

But between them, Daniel – with his use of social media – has cultivated an image that postures him as more in tune with the younger people.

Although he is a first-term Senator in Ogun state, Yayi was a multiple-term Federal and state legislator in Lagos state.

OGD is a former two-term Governor of Ogun state and Director General of a Presidential campaign.

They are both chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
