Talks Of New Political Party To Take Power In Ogun Gain Ground

The move to determine who controls the government of Ogun state in the next political dispensation is said to have become very intentional.

Across different political structures, the plots are said to be attracting “unusual partnerships”.

And at present throwing up the talk of a new political party that is gaining ground by the day.

The claims that politics has become more about how the locals perceive the promoters rather than the political party is said to be fueling the talks.

There are unverified assertions that persons across political structures and existing political parties are involved.

Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun state is ineligible to contest for another based on the dictate of the constitution – but his political camp is keen to retain control by supporting a preferred successor to power.

The Governor is, officially, in charge of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun state.
