The death of Access Holdings’ Abdul Kolawole Imoyo has put many in grief.

The Head of Media Relations breathed his last on Sunday, December 17, 2023.

Expressions of shock and heart-rendering lamentations have continued to make the rounds since the news hit town.

At the heart of the teeth gnashing is the consensus that Imoyo in carrying out his duties was a good man.

“I’m sure you never knew that your sojourn on this part of eternity will be cut short as it were but you lived life to leave a mark and memories that will linger. Your exit is really painful.

“You handled your job professionally, you used your position to help and support. Where as others, in same office in other places will present themselves as demi-god, erratic, obsessed with position, you were calm, approachable and there always.

I will never forget your smiles, your style and the tone of your voice. I will never forget our critical discussions about the bank you last worked for- your passion, your commitment and dedication to your work.

Can I ever forget your heart to help at critical times?

I forever owe you a memory of everything positive even as you transit to the great beyond.

Abdul Kolawole Imoyo…. Fare thee well!”,  Abayomi Obabolujo wrote about the demise of the alumnus of Lagos State University (LASU).

“Access Bank Corporate media manager, Abdul Imoyo is dead. He was a jolly good fellow and one of the finest media managers in Nigeria. He will be greatly missed in the financial industry. Good night, a man of the people. May God accept your soul.” Muchey Engy posted in reaction to the death of the holder of B.Sc in Public Administration  Master of Business Administration (MBA).

One of his birthday celebrations at the office

“Dooms Day I lost my very dear Boss, Mr. Abdul Imoyo, Access Bank’s Head of Media Relations.” wailed on social media over the passage of former  Finance Editor at BusinessDay.

“This cut is deep because it was unexpected.Good night, Abdul Imoyo. You will be missed, In more ways than words can capture.” Gani Kayode Balogun jr openly exhibited his sorrow on the abrupt end of the earthly sojourn of the once-upon-a-time member of the Public Relations Unit of the United Bank for Africa (UBA).

And the list of grievers and outpour of emotions remains unending at press time – all with the same theme, he was a good man.
