Why Kunle Poly Pledged ”Absolute Support ” To MC Oluomo Despite Sack As NURTW Branch Chairman

Kunle Lawal the transport union boss more popularly known as Kunle Poly has pledged absolute support to the administration of new chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers in Lagos state, Musiliu Akinsanya.

Kunle Poly pledges support to Akinsanya who is better known as MC Oluomo despite his removal as a Branch Chairman of the transport union in Lagos Island.

The leadership of Branch C in Lagos Island has been dissolved by MC Oluomo and a caretaker committee put in place.

societynow.ng gathered that Kunle Poly who passionately worked against the emergence of MC Oluomo has the NURTW Chairman in Lagos state he backed down in face of an inevitable win by his opponent has refused to fight his removal as a branch chairman.

”Kunle Poly has decided not to go against MC Olumo because he understands the power to do and undo resides with the new Chairman and it is better to show support in the face of provocation to prevent the situation from going from bad to worse” societynow..ng learned.

The information available to societynow.ng revealed that Kunle Poly refused to take up arms against Oluomo to prevent removal as Branch Chairman but others decided to go to war and provided Oluomo with the opportunity to put those that helped to power as members of the caretaker committee in charge of Branch C – and other targetted areas.

”But by refusing to fight and pledging allegiance to Oluomo, Kunle Poly protected the perks that would be given to him as senior NURTW member in his branch. He won’t be making as much money as when he was in charge but he would still be getting something.” societynow.ng learned.

”Anything short of what the show of support to MC Oluomo by Kunle Poly would have landed him in a bigger mess with sources of revenue cut off and threats of heavy sanctions hanging over his head” a source asserted.
