“Why I Am Selling Off Kogi Assets” Gov Yahaya Bello

Governor Yahaya Bello has confirmed allegations of selling off assets of Kogi state.

The state headman made the disclosure during a phone chat on television programme Politics Today.

Bello told Seun Okinbaloye, the anchor person of the popular political programme this evening – Thursday, March 8 – that “we have started the process”.

The embattled governor provided reasons for the unpopular move saying “there are some assets that are not adding value to the state. They are not contributing to the state, those are the ones we are selling off”.

The governor also used the opportunity to distance self from the allegation of importing military gears for his alleged thugs to make use during the election period.

Insisting he is law-abiding, the governor asserted he has nothing to do with such a claim.
