Why Ex-Gov Oyinlola Opted For A Silent Return To PDP

A former governor of Osun State Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola is fully back in People’s Democratic Party, available information showed.

He made a return to the party on Thursday, December 6, 2018.

The Okuku, Osun state prince actually rejoined his former political party at the People’s Democratic Party south-west rally for its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

The political campaign held in Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state.

Prince Oyinlola was the PDP national secretary before he was booted out in a controversial manner -thanks to a plot executed by former influential party man Senator Iyiola Omisore.

Those who are familiar with the development maintain the former governor’s “homecoming” was done silently.

Unlike the norms when top political guns of his ilk jump ship, Oyinlola’s return to PDP was devoid of funfair, societynow.ng gathered.

Close associates maintain he went for a silent return for ‘’obvious reasons”.

He does not want people to see him as lightweight as most of the trusted aides stayed back in PDP when he left to be part of the political movement that helped made Aregbsola’s reelection became a reality multiple sources disclosed.

But one thing you can’t take away from him – those who stayed in PDP, before he now rejoined them – still hold in high esteem and always see him as their leader and relate with him as such even when he was in APC, an associate of the former governor maintains.

He was like a lone ranger of a sort during his short stay in APC, an insider explained further.

“So it will take points off him if he decides to make it a loud event as most of the people you can call his real men didn’t go with him when he dumped PDP for the ruling All Progressives Congress in 2014”, the insider volunteered.
