Why Dapo Abiodun Has Been Labelled “3-Direct”

Political opponents of Governor Dapo Abiodun are having a field day.

And this is as a result of happenings surrounding the list of ministerial nominees submitted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the Senate for screening.

Three batches has been submitted and none of the Governor’s “candidates” made the list.

And in a reversed psychology the Governor has now been branded ‘3-direct’.

“The talks are that a three direct game has been played against the Governor in his party and the other sides won” SocietyNow.Ng.

Checks revealed that 3-direct in a lottery game references that a player wins when he – or she – selects three numbers out of a designated pool and they all hit the mark.

SocietyNow.Ng gleaned from emerging chatters in the political circle of Ogun state that It has, especially, been galling for Abiodun and his men that political opponent, Senator  Gbenga Daniel shares familiarity in varying degrees with all the three nominees from Ogun state screened so far the Senate.

The biggest name on the list, Wale Edun enjoys years of close ties with the Senator from Ogun East, Ishiaq Salako was a commissioner in his administration as Governor of Ogun state from May 29, 2003 to May 29, 2011 while the nominee at the rear, Bosun Tijani sees him as a mentor.

It has also helped the 67-years-old’s rapport with the nominees that he staunchly backed the Senate to confirm them as Ministers while news decorate the public space that Governor Abiodun, 63, was pulling strings to remove “someone” to get his choice on the list.
