…Stella Odua’s Neighbour 2 Neighbour creates awareness, recruits

President Goodluck Jonathan has given the go ahead for a massive pro subsidy campaign nation wide.

The move- already on going- will be executed on the platform of Neighbour 2 Neighbour, the body that spearheaded the election campaign of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The organisation was set up by Minister for Aviation, Stella Oodua and is still under her control.

Information at the disposal of societynowng.com revealed that the plan is to President Goodluck Jonathan

execute another round of ‘door to door campaign’ at the grass root level, massive advert usage and utilise propaganda to discredit leaders and break the ranks of the anti subsidy protesters.

Recruitment for the exercise and discrediting of protest leaders are already on.

The reduction of the fuel price from N141 to N97 per litre is expected to help the campaigners achieve their objectives.

The aim is to reduce the huge unpopularity the presidency – and his cabinet- enjoyed in the past couple of days.

Sources divulged that the pro subsidy campaigners target all the local governments in the country to achieve their aims. There are also said to be moves to transform the move into an all politics affair by attempting to leverage on the political structure of the People’s Democratic Party as well.

The Presidency and its sympathizers believe the protesters enjoy the rabid support of opposition parties.

The nationwide pro subsidy campaign is planned to be rounded off with a grand rally in different parts of the country according to sources.

The amount of fund committed to the exercise is yet to be confirmed.

The nation’s work force had embarked on national strike against the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government.

The development has transformed the federal government the butt of spiralling out of control criticism as petrol price shot up to a minimum of N141 from N65.

Whether recent moves by the government will help safe guard federal government position in face of ongoing strike remains to be seen.
