Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered the immediate arrest of all suspects linked to the killing of Mr Ajagungbade Emir, allegedly arising from a leadership tussle at a motor park.

Adeleke also directed the immediate vacation of motor parks by the warring groups and ordered the reintroduction of the Park Management System to restore order across garages in the state.

The governor gave the directives in a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, on Sunday, while calling on residents to remain calm as security agencies moved to restore normalcy in the affected areas.

Adeleke directed the Commissioner of Police in the state to “act immediately to arrest all those involved,” stressing that “law and order must be maintained.”

“There will be no sacred cows as all culprits will be brought to book,” the governor declared.

He also ordered security agencies to ensure the restoration and sustainability of peace across the affected motor parks and other areas of the state.

“We are reintroducing the Park Management System. I will soon issue an executive order to give effect to the new management system to manage parks and garages across the state,” Adeleke decreed.

The governor’s directive followed the reported killing of Ajagungbade Emir, which the state government said allegedly resulted from a tussle over leadership at a motor park.

Adeleke urged members of the public to remain calm, assuring that the government would work with security agencies to restore peace and maintain law and order across the state.
