Not Yet Over Funky King Abdulrasheed Akanbi As Magistrates Threaten Strike Over His Refusal To Appear In Court, Even As Accuser Withdraws Case

Even after his chief accuser withdrew the case against him in court, it is not yet over for funky King Abdulrasheed Akanbi.

The Iwo monarch was dragged to court by another monarch Oluwo Oke Oba Kadiri Adeoye for allegations that may unseat him.

Oba Akanbi was accused of being a jailbird and internet fraudster amongst other things.

But the accused sensationally shunned court order to appear, even when a warrant of arrest was issued.

Rather than appear, he threatened the magistrate with traditional warrant.
It looked set for a major showdown between the court and the palace but state governor Rauf Aregbesola stepped in.

And brokered an understanding that made the accuser withdraw the case in court.

But it appears the ‘’court’’ is not willing to let the matter go with a bruised ego.

The Magistrates’s Association of Nigeria, Osun state branch yesterday served a strike notice on allegations of death threat to magistrate that handled the case Olusola Aluko.

And the Chief Registrar of the Osun State High Court, Lawrence Arojo also sent a petition to the commissioner of police, Fimihan Adeoye on the matter.

The magistrates wants the police to arrest the funky Iwo King to answer for contempt charge and are threatening to stop sitting until the police effect the bench warrant on the monarch.
