No Room For Legal Blockade…Sanwo-Olu Hands Tinubu’s Godson Gbolahan Lawal Staff Of Office As King Of Prime Real Estate Domain, Oniru

Barely seventy-two hours after he resigned as commissioner in the Lagos State government, Gbolahan Lawal has moved into the palace as the new King of Oniru – a prime real estate domain, in Lagos state – with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu handing him his Staff of Office

The new Oniru resigned his appointment on Thursday, June 4, the Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the approval of his appointment as the Oniru-Elect in the evening of Friday, June 5 and today Sunday, June 7 the governor handed the new Oniru his staff of office at his palace this morning.

‘’It is a whirlwind move that prevents legal blockades from installing the former commissioner as the new Oniru, just look at the timing and you get the flow’’ societynow.ng learned.

The information available revealed that there is a strong and growing opposition against the new Oniru based on the strength of allegation that he has a very weak claim to the throne.

‘’His claim to the throne is through his mother’s side. This is causing a great resentment against him and his sponsor Asiwaju Tinubu and moves were already afloat to make the situation a legal issue’’ societynow.ng gathered.

‘’But the Friday to Sunday moves By Sanwo-Olu prevents any court injunction that would stall the new Oniru from taking the throne’’ societynow.ng learned.

The checks by societynow.ng revealed that indeed the tradition which determines who becomes a king is clear on the fact that it is only princes with paternal ties to the throne that should wear the crown.

Emerging details, however, revealed that with powerful politician Bola Tinubu pulling the strings behind the scene, immediate past commissioner Gbolahan Lawal has overcome this major huddle within 72 hours.

The new Oniru is one of the ‘’golden sons’’ of the powerful politician while Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu rode to office on the strength of Tinubu’s influence.

Insiders, however, revealed that to be a bit fair to the new Oniru, he was more focused on his political ambition – after narrowly missing out in becoming the governor of Lagos state –until Asiwaju Tinubu sold him the idea of becoming a new king of Iruland as part of a bigger plan – despite the odds involved.
