A statement by the family lawyer Debo Adeleke credits Abiola’s widow with the revelation that the arrested family members are the architects of their present predicament.

The statement asserts that they were arrested based on their conduct and suspicion over their answers to questions by investigators into the robbery incident that resulted in the loss of money and related valuables.

Information sourced by societynow.ng on premiumtimes.ng revealed that Adebisi’s who was accused of instigating their arrests by her stepsons claims she was working with others to secure their bail.

She claims she was on the verge of securing their bail before the N100m (One Hundred Million Naira) court case allegedly infringing on their rights was slammed on the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

Odumoso is accused of ordering their arrest and detention since Wednesday, September 2, 2020.

According to the disclosure by Adeleke, the arrangement to release her stepsons on Friday, September 11 was in place before the N100million court case ‘’thwarted’’ the move.

The family lawyer disclosed that Mrs Adebisis was not happy by this development but stakeholders will continue efforts to secure the bail of the detained persons pending the commencement of the case against the Commissioner of Police.

The N100million court fundamental rights case being handled for the detained sons of M.K.O by Senior lawyer Mike Ozekhome has been adjourned till Thursday, October 15.
