”They Just Hate Us!” Says Maryam, Wife Of Ex Military Ruler Sanni Abacha

Maryam, the wife of Sanni Abacha, the former military head of state credited with mind-boggling looting of the nation’s treasury has spoken on widespread perception about her late husband and family.

“They just hate us. But why? It is Haram and Allah is watching us.” she says in a report by monitored on thecable.ng by societynow.ng.

The former First Lady also insists that contrary to widespread perception, her husband who is famously dubbed the ‘’ most hated former head of state’’ did nothing wrong is being lied on as regards recovery of looted forwards from foreign accounts.

Maryam Abacha also shared her idea of judgment on those she believes has done injustice against her and her family.

“They will kneel down like America is kneeling down now. Anybody that is evil will kneel down just like this corona has come to shut this world.” She said in the report thecable.ng admitted it sourced the contents from an interview the former first lady granted Kano Focus to commemorate the 22nd anniversary of the late of Abacha.

Abacha’s death in 1998 resulted in wild jubilation in some parts of Nigeria as a result of the unenviable human rights records his administration, role in the June 12 saga, arrest and death of Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, the patriarch of democracy in detention.
