It is an open secret, that MC Oluomo (real name Musiliu Akinsanya) the suspended chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) always celebrate his people.

The popular transport union boss is known for actively using his social media pages to celebrate days that are special to his lieutenants, friends, and associates.

But in what appears a very telling move, MC Oluomo last week shunned the big days of NURTW associate Kunle Poly (real name Kunle Lawal).

MC Oluomo

Kunle Poly is in police custody- based on court order – to enable investigators to properly investigate the cause and determine the sponsor of the deadly fracas that resulted in the death of one and materials losses recorded by traders in his domain – Idumota – in January 2022.

Thursday, March 24, 2022, was Kunle Poly’s birthday but while common friends took to social media space to celebrate the troubled transport unionist, MC Oluomo shunned him.

SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed that MC Oluomo lavishly praised singer Shefiu Alao who celebrated his birthday the same day but didn’t make any mention of Kunle Poly.

Further digs by SocietyNow.Ng revealed that those who are familiar with happenings between MC Oluomo and Kunle Poly are not surprised by the latest development.

Kunle Poly

‘There has been an intense rivalry between them since the days of Tajudeen Agbaju as the chairman of the NURTW in Lagos state. Agbede used Kunle Poly to undermine the influence of MC Oluomo and his crew but the table turned when Oluomo and his people won the election and took over the affairs of the NURTW in Lagos State. Though Kunle Poly pledged allegiance to the new regime, the rivalry remains and it saw the splitting of the NURTW area under the control of Kunle Poly into three with two of those working under him (Okoro -Kosoko Akeem Agboola- and Egbon Idowu – dowu Onikoyi) elevated to the same rank he holds as Branch chairmen” SocietyNow.Ng.

Kunle Poly, Okoro, and Egbon Idowu are the NURTW bosses in police custody over the tragic Idumota fracas.
