“Less About Faith, More About Numbers”…Unlike Election Seasons, Political Figures Fail To Throng & Milk Gains Of Attendance At End Of The Year Church Programmes
…Inside gimmick of using religion to get votes
It appears everything is more about getting the numbers than faith when it comes to religion and politics.
And that is judging by summation of some keen watchers at ongoing end of the year church programmes, the major ones that is.
Information filtering in have it unlike during seasons that elections were at hand, big name politicians have failed to throng programmes such as organised by the big name ministries.
At least two of such which politicians fall over themselves to identify with are ongoing and the usual frenzy of attendance by usual suspect is no where to be seen.
The norm is that the vote canvassers attend the opening and closing ceremony, with their handlers making ”noise” all over town about identification with the ministry concerned.
But obviously with no election directly insight, there appears no need for the gimmick a source pointed out.
”I have always said it is more about the numbers than the believe in God or the teaching of the ministries concerned” a source claim.
According to the theory, Politicians come to the programmes of the big churches to catch in on the numbers of faithfuls.
”They go to identify with the ministry and work on getting the pastor to public pray for them..lay hands on them and what you hear next is anointed to succeed
”And their handlers hit town with this slant and this works two ways..
”By coming to the prayer grounds they are subtly warming their way into the subconscious of the faithfuls, cashing in on the numbers and seeking acceptance by praying to their God, secondly the prayers and laying of hands by the pastor publicly validate this sentiment and along with it earns some new converts for the politician” a source claimed.
”It is more about using religion to get votes because they know a lot of these people are so religious they live by direction from their pastors than logical reasoning, if not where are all those people that stormed the opening of Shiloh and Redeemed Church programmes and attended the sessions during election season?
”If it is about faith, all the noise about attendance by their handlers should be on by now but alas…” another observer stated.
Checks revealed unlike editions held during campaign seasons or nearing election periods , ongoing end of the year church programmes by big ministries have so far witnessed very limited appearances by big name political figures who endlessly milk the inherent opportunities.
