Insiders Dispel Bimbo Ashiru & Senator “Yayi” Fight, Tell What They Are Up To
” They are working towards the same goal”
Insiders insist that there is no political fight between Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola and the Chairman Board of Odua Group, Bimbo Ashiru.
SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed that the two politicians are touted as possible Governor of Ogun state in 2027.
Solomon Adeola is the Lagos Senator who has transformed into the senatorial candidate of Ogun West for the 2023 election while Ashiru is the former ally and commissioner in the administration of former Governor Ibikunle Amosun
They have shown interest in becoming the Governor of Ogun state with Ashiru coming very close in 2019 but for the fate that handed the All Progressives Congress ticket (APC) ticket to Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The two chieftains of the APC operating in different political zones of Ogun state have, however, stepped down their gubernatorial ambitions to enable Governor Abiodun to win another term in office in 2023.
“There is no political fight between them. They are working towards the same goal, to ensure Abiodun’s second term. Nobody is talking about 2027 because all stakeholders understand that D.A (Dapo Abiodun) and the party need to retain the governorship position to make 2027 ambitions easier for those affiliated with him” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
Governor Abiodun aside from facing an increasingly intense challenge from the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party, is also contending with growing opposition from one of the leaders of his party, Ibikunle Amosun, and his army of followers.
Abiodun after getting the recognition of the national APC as leader of the party in Ogun state is accused of shunning recommendations to harmonize structures and sideling Amosun and his followers from the party.
This development is said to be fueling a festering crisis in the Ogun state chapter of APC but insiders insist Ashiru and Adeola stand with Abiodun and are working towards his re-election.

Insiders further claim that a window into the rapport between the two politicians was provided when they attended the first anniversary of the death of Abiodun’s father Emmanuel Adesanya Abiodun held in Iperu- Remo, Ogun State.
“They were very familiar with each other and they sat on the same row, close enough to reach each other” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
The remembrance ceremony for the Governor’s teacher had in attendance APC Vice Presidential Candidate, Senator Kashim Shettima, former president Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, former Governor of Ogun State, Chief Olusegun Osoba, and others.
