Senator Gbenga Daniel, Bimbo Ashiru End Talks Of Quarrel

The talks of a cold war between Senator Gbenga Daniel and the Chairman of Odu’a Investment Limited, Bimbo Ashiru are over.

The two professionals in politics put an end to the talks with a recent happening.

They were attendees at the commendation Service for late noble Nigerian, Otunba Subomi Balogun – famously known as the founder of the First City Monument Bank(FCMB).

The event that started the burial activities of the fastidious lover of white apparel was held at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, Lagos.

“You needed to see them, Ashiru went over to OGD and was very warmly welcomed. They hugged and chatted and it was obvious they enjoy good rapport” SocietyNow.Ng learned.

OGD is the acronym Otunba Gbenga Daniel while the event held on Thursday, October July 6, 2023.

The whispers of a quarrel between Daniel and Ashiru translated into talks during the contest to determine the Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun East for 2023.

Ashiru was pushed for slot in recognition of past sacrifices – that include stepping down for Governor Dapo Abiodun to become candidate in 2019 – but Daniel got the ticket and secured an historic win.

This is in the face of the fact that Ashiru is a founding member of the APC while Daniel joined in later years from rival People”s Democratic Party (PDP).

The talks of animosity between Daniel and Ashiru were further fueled by the Senator’s raging supremacy tussle with the Governor.

The power fight has seen many party chieftains take sides with Ashiru touted as pitching tent with Abiodun.
