Popular gubernatorial aspirant Ladi Adebutu is working against his own gubernatorial ambition.

The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain wants to become the next governor of Ogun state.

The state is currently firmly in the hands of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Amosun has proven to be a deft politician who is very much at home with the use of power.

Former governor of Ogun state and influential PDP chieftain Gbenga Daniel has come up with a strategy to unseat Amosun.

He wants all diverse interests in opposition against Amosun to pool resources and work together to deny the incumbent opportunity of installing a successor of his choosing – and take away power from the APC.

The move is premised on the understanding of reaching a compromise on who gets what after all is done.

Insiders revealed Adebutu who looks prime to emerge candidate of the “coalition” is kicking against the move.

Sources claim he is accusing Daniel of clandestinely working to take over the PDP structure by bringing a scenario for an influx of his loyalists.

Informants claim Adebutu’s hard stance is affecting Daniel’s grand plan and raising suspicion of others about how true his motives are.

“Ironically Adebutu by his action is working against his own gubernatorial ambition” an insider disclosed.

Sources claim based on existing arrangements, Adebutu appears the man to take the PDP gubernatorial ticket and his actions against Daniel’s grand plan obviously working against self interest.
