In Brief: The Cause Of Life-Long Enmity Between Big Names Michael Adeojo and Willy Anumudu
Eniola Adeniyi
Chief Michael Ade-Ojo the giant in the automobile industry failed to make peace with major stakeholder Willy Anumudu before the later gave up the ghost.
Interestingly, the checks by societynow.ng revealed that they fell out strictly as a result of business issues.
Globe Motors owned by Anumudu was a grade B dealer with Toyota which Ade-Ojo solely represents in Nigeria.
Elizade and Briscoe motors- which Ade-Ojo has stakes in- were graded A category.
The arrangement is such that when Toyota vehicles are delivered the grade A dealers get more units at lesser prices than the Grade B dealers societynow.ng learned.
“But Grade B dealers targeting the gains in turnover sell at lower prices than the Grade A dealers, exhaust their units and demand or source for more from source or colleagues” societynow.ng gathered.
Insiders revealed that Chief Ade-Ojo who planned to use the exclusivity of his automobile brands to make better gains refused to “tolerate the situation”.

” Because there is a price you sell to dealers, it is fixed and Anumudu who was a sharp businessman played the system to his advantage in the race to make better gains with the rate of turnover than slamming huge prices on vehicles” societynow.ng learned.
The information available to societynow.ng revealed that the continuous refusal of Ade-Ojo to tolerate Anumudu’s business style soured their relationship and resulted in the delisting of Globe Motors as a Toyota dealer.
The development sparked off a big row and intense enmity between the duo that was not resolved till Anumudu passed away a couple of days back societynow.ng learned.
