How Sanwo-Olu Pulled Rug On Jandor’s Feet Over Paying Bamise’s Mortuary Bill
deceased’s brother publicly lamented
Claims that Jide Adediran, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate popular known as Jandor paid the mortuary bill for the late Bamise Ayanwale- Abegunde has been disproved.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that the Special Adviser on Education, Adetokunbo Wahab paid for the mortuary bills after the deceased brother, Oluwapelumi Ayanwale- Abegunde cried out.
Bamise’s brother cried out last week that the family received a call from the Lagos state hospital to come and offset the outstanding mortuary bill.
The corpse was kept at the government-owned facility while the investigation into the kidnap – murder of the 22year old that “inside a Lagos State Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)” was ongoing.
The deceased’s brother publicly lamented the call by the Lagos state hospital for the family to pay the N588,000.00 mortuary bill SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
Wahab was said to have taken it upon himself – on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Lagos State government – to offset the fee.
PDP’s gubernatorial candidate Adediran reportedly made the same move, but his intervention came late.
Ayanwale-Abegunde confirmed that Adediran gave the family money to offset the mortuary bill but discovered that “someone” had paid before the family got there.
Akanni Oladimeji Balogun, a social critic unveiled the “someone” as Tokunbo Wahab with evidence of payment receipts and an invoice.
SocietyNow.Ng’s checks revealed that the move by Wahab is not a random act of kindness.
The Special Adviser on Education openly described as “a great addition to the journey of improving a greater Lagos” by Governor Sanwo-Olu is known for always reaching out to the needy without making noise about his deeds.
In 2020, with the effects of the Covid-19 lockdown affecting many parents, the Lagos State Special Adviser on Education offered to provide school bags and sandals to any students anywhere in Nigeria in need of such.
