Ex Senator Gbenga Obadara is on his way back to reckoning within the political and social circle of Ogun state.
And this development is attributed to the growing popularity of new radio station, Sweet F.M.

The politician who lost his seat in the last general election after defecting from his party, All Progressives Congress kick started the project not too long ago.

Sources claim the growing acceptance of the radio station has transformed Obadara into increasing darling of many who want their voice to be heard.

‘’And in the a state where the Governor and the government control the most vibrant broadcast machinery..this is a very big leverage for him’’ a source pointed out.

Though in the same political party with the governor- after Obadara retraced his steps from his ill fated sojourn into Social Democratic Party with political leader, Aremo Segun Osoba – the former Senator and the state helms man have diverse political interests.

Sources however though his defection and loss of position in the senate took away great points from his standing in and out of politics, Obadara’s radio station is fast redeeming his image.

And a pointer to this development is said to be the recent face off between workers and governor Amosun.

The first step in this direction was his return to APC before his mentor Aremo Osoba.

Obadara and other loyalists followed their leader to SDP in the face of intense animosity with governor Amosun, but Obadara beat a retreat immediately the devastating loss they suffered.

The crew failed to win a single seat nor retain of the electives positions they attempted to hold on to.

Insiders claim with his return and with his growing in popularity radio station as bargaining, Obarada is currently dealing directly with leaders of his party at the national level rather than go through his mentor Aremo Olusegun Osoba.
