Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has revealed what few people know about his relationship with former Governor of Ogun state, Aremo Olusegun Osoba.

Daniel succeeded Osoba as the Governor of Ogun state in 2003.

While Daniel won the 2023 gubernatorial election as a member of the People’s Democratic while Osoba lost the bid to return for a second term in office as candidate of the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

The AD transformed into Action Congress of Nigerian (ACN) which is one of the dominant groups that combined to become the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Daniel and Osoba are presently chieftains of the APC.

“Only a few people know that he is my in-law, as my dear wife, Yeye Olufunke Daniel, is from the Osoba clan in Abeokuta.” Daniel disclosed in celebration of Osoba’s 84th birthday.

Abeokuta is the capital of Ogun state.

The elder state man was 84 on Saturday, July 15, 2023.

Daniel, 67, who says that he shares in the of Osoba’s family and all associates on the celebration declared that “84 years look shorter for a man who has distinguished himself as a journalist with a remarkable political career, including governing our dear state, among other national leadership roles.” in an open birthday message.

“I join other well-wishers to celebrate him and wish him many more years of God’s goodness.” the Senator ended the birthday goodwill message he posted on his social media page.
