Insiders disclosed that former Governor Rasheed Ladoja has finally had enough of incumbent Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde.

Makinde is alleged to have turned himself into an island, alienating Ladoja who worked passionately for him to become Governor of Oyo state.

The talks filtering out of the political circle of Oyo State have it that after series of failed attempts to make Makinde fulfill the conditions that brokered the political support that brought him to power and heed advice on how to keep his political base together and sustain his popularity, Ladoja has finally thrown up his hands in despair.

The former Governor is said to have finally decided to show the Governor he can also play “his game”.

Insiders disclosed that Ladoja has passed words that show Governor Makinde is no longer in his good books – that the Governor has become a political orphan.

“The implication of this is the withdrawal of much needed political cover from Makinde. The truth is that despite the governor’s apathy to the wishes of Ladoja, he needs the support of the former Governor now and much more in the nearest future” societynow.ng learned.

Insiders disclosed 76 year old Ladoja who is the real power – with grassroots support – behind Makinde’s party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo state has concluded plans to “to leave the state” for Governor Makinde.

“If this happens, Makinde naturally becomes toast for the oppositions and increasing numbers of angry party men based on the peculiar manner the politics of Oyo state is structured” societynow.ng learned.

According to findings by societynow.ng, politics in Oyo state is culture-based and big on respect.

Members of different political parties have so fused as a result of defections that respect for personalities play a big role in political engagements.

“Because of this Makinde is not getting real hard tackle from oppositions because of respect for Ladoja but the way Makinde is treating Ladoja by ,in quote, caging the old man is viewed as a huge disrespect across party lines…if the former governor travels out and narrative that he left the state because he has had enough of Makinde is sustained on you can imagine the consequence for the governor across party lines” a source pointed out.
