Details As First Class King Refuses To Step Down As State Chairman Of Okada Riders

Details available to societynow.ng revealed that a first-class king has refused to disassociate himself from the activities of the transport union.

Information at hand has it that the Oniba of Iba, Oba Sulaimon Adeshina Ayemojuba Ashade, one of the first-class kings in Lagos State is still clinging to the position of the chairman of Okada Riders in Lagos state.

Oba Ashade who was installed as the king of Iba about seven months is the chairman of Okada – commercial motorcycle – riders and owners in Lagos state.

The king who goes by the street name “Authority Jafo” is the chairman of Nagari Nokowa Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association (NNAMORAL), a position he held before he took the throne and has refused to let go in the face of intense pressure societynow.ng learned.

NNAMORAL operates under the umbrella of the transport union body, Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria.

Societynow.ng gathered that the position yields huge monetary returns for whoever occupies it.

“We are talking millions of Naira per week” societynow.ng learned.

Additional information available has it that the belief was that, in the worst-case scenario, Oba Oniba would act via a proxy as the Chairman of the commercial motorcycle owners and riders in Lagos state once he assumes the throne to protect the integrity of his new position as the father of all – but he is said to be insisting on seeing out his term societynow.ng learned.
