Andy Uba Tells Story Of “Debt” To Arthur Eze Giving Him Grief

Andy Uba popular politician from Anambra state has reacted to the story of alleged indebtedness to billionaire Arthur Eze that is giving him great grief.

The billionaire is said to have caused the seizure of the politician’s automobiles over the debt – based on a court judgment.

Uba, a former Senator representing Anambra South however insists that he did not borrow money from Eze but got a donation.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I never borrowed N50million from Prince Arthur Eze” the former Senator asserted in a press statement and explained “

He disclosed that he thanked Eze for the gesture in church and followed up with a letter of appreciation dated 22 February 2015.

“I was dumbfounded, surprised and flabbergasted having learnt that my bosom friend and brother, had through his company Oranto Petroleum Limited, through which the said cheque of N50million was drawn had filed an action one year after at the High Court of Anambra State, Aguata division sitting at Ekwulobia.” Uba expressed his feelings about the twist in development, claiming he filed a defense but was prevailed on by a mutual friend to settle out of court with the billionaire.

“I was deeply astonished and shocked beyond bone marrow when I learnt that my brother and mutual friend, Prince Arthur Eze despite his undertakings at the meeting had reneged his promises.

“It is shocking and baffling how a man will stand on the sacred altar of God and donate to the political aspiration and campaign of his brother, of which the officiating priest extended a warm handshake of gratitude and later turn around to deny it.” Uba, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Anambra Gubernatorial election stated in reaction to the judgment won against him by Eze.
