Amosun, Tinubu Agree On 2023 Presidential Election!

Powerful politicians Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Ibikunle Amosun have agreed on how to go about the 2023 presidential election.

The election determines who succeeds President Muhammadu Buhari and both Tinubu and Amosun are speculated to be in contention for the position.

The information available to societynow.ng, however, revealed that in separate disclosures Tinubu and Amosun have agreed on how not to go about prosecuting their presidential ambitions.
The details available to societynow.ng revealed that the former governors of Lagos state (Tinubu) and Ogun state (Amosun)agree it is too early to begin the campaign.

In a statement released Amosun when the news of Presidential ambition broke, the Senate representing Ogun Central at the National Assembly stated ”…It goes without saying that anyone nursing a Presidential ambition at a time President Muhammadu Buhari has just begun to consolidate on the successes of his first term, is not only an enemy of the Nigerian State, but clearly does not desire any good for Mr President.

”The poster and any of such publication is nothing but sheer distraction.

As a Senator, my hands are full and I am committed to working with fellow patriots on how best to move our nation forward by supporting and working with President Buhari.

There is a time for everything. The time to address 2023 is clearly not anywhere close.”

Tinubu echoed same thoughts in his interration with the media after he visited President Buhari on Monday,January 7, 2020.

The influentail politican stated “…That time is not now. We have just finished one election and Mr. President is busy sorting out the budget, working for the people of this country

“..Of course, restlessness of politics is going to be there, but any lover of this country will not talk about the succession plan yet. That’s the truth. (We should) concentrate on working for the country; help the President to help the country. There’s nothing more than that.

”“We cannot use 365 days in a year to work on politics, it’s not possible. Anybody talking about that now is just completely restless and not focused on the agenda of nation-building and development of our country.”
