…Why they don’t talk despite being the same party, state

Information filtering in to societynowng.com revealed that the campaign for who becomes the next Governor of Ogun state in 2019 has kicked off underground – and with interesting consequences.

Insiders claimed co party men House of Representatives member, ladi Adebutu and Senator battling drug related accusation Senator Kashamu Buruji are interested.

Informants claim the two People’s Democratic Party chieftain, from the same area of Ogun state – Ijebu axis appear to have kicked off campaign judging from disposition of the supporters on the streets.
‘The supporters are already canvassing for support claiming their principals better placed to clinch their party ticket and go on to succeed Governor Amosun’ a source claimed.

Societynowng.com learnt this development has further pitched both Adebutu and Kashamu apart.

Before this latest development, the duo are said to keep ‘distance’ from each other despite being in the same party – and from same area.

Ladi, the son of big money pool magnate Kessingnton Adebutu is said to enjoy strong relationship with former governor Gbenga Daniel through the latter’s rapport with his father.

Kashamu Buruji is said to view Gbenga Daniel as major political foe.

‘So to a large extent it is a case of friend of my enemy is my enemy I believe’ a source quipped.

Interestingly, the structure of the People’s Democrat Party in the state is strongly in the palm of Senator Kashamu.

His hold on the party in the state is such that he successful curtailed the influences and presence of highly connected Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

The former Governor has now withdrawn from limelight politicking.

Digs by societynowng.com revealed that Ladi and his political structure are already exploring how to go about beating Kashamu at his game to achieve their aim.

They are said to be putting a lot on the PDP’s upcoming congress in February- and fallouts of the event.

‘That is what determines who is in control of the party…they are working hard at ensuring a successful outing’ a source stated.

Additional revelation however hints at a possible move out of PDP in the long run to actualise their ambition, should Kashamu retain his hold on the Party after the congress.

Societynowng.com learnt that Kashamu’s ambition to govern the state is being fuelled by desire to show those who look down on his as ‘tainted’ by taking charge of that which they so much cherish.
