The Central Working Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress insists that Abiola Ajimobi is its Acting National Chairman.

This is even though Ajimobi, who is the immediate past Governor of Oyo State is hospitalized as he battles to stay alive from the scourge of Covid-19.

Ajimobi became the Acting Chairman after the Court of Appeal affirmed the suspension of substantive Chairman Adams Oshiomhole.

‘’The implication of making Ajimobi who is unable to act is obvious, the actions of Oshiomhole between the time he first suspened and when the Court of Appeal validated his suspension as APC Chairman stands because Ajimobi is in no position to overturn them’’ societynow.ng learned.

One of the moves by Oshiomhole was the disqualification of Obaseki from the Gubernatorial primary of the APC in Edo State.

And to further dampened the hope of Obaseki who halted his defection to the rival People’s Democratic Party after the Appeal Court affirmed the suspension of Oshiomhole, the National Working Committee announced a seven-man Election Panel for the June 22 APC gubernatorial primary Edo State – without a mention of his situation.
