Why Fayemi Didn’t Go With Other Govs To Visit Tinubu

Kayode Fayemi was absent when Southwest Governors visited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday, despite being in Lagos.

The Governor of Ekiti State attended the Southwest Governor’s Forum meeting held at the Lagos House in Marina but was absent at when the participants visited the Bourdillon, Ikoyi Lagos residence of Tinubu, who is the National leader of Fayemi’s party – All Progressives Congress (APC).

Rotimi Akeredolu, the Governor of Ondo state and chairman of the South West Governor’s provided the reason Fayemi who is the Chairman of Nigeria’s Governor’s Forum was absent at the meeting with Tinubu.

“Governor Fayemi was with us at the Southwest Governors’ Forum meeting held earlier at the Lagos House in Marina. He had to leave to catch a late flight to Port Harcourt where he was billed to attend the NBA Conference dinner.

“He sent his apology to Asiwaju as well as his good wishes. The rest of us who visited Asiwaju’s residence tendered same and extended Fayemi’s good wishes.” Akeredolu explained.”
