What Dep Gov, Salako – Oyedele Is Up To As Ogun Guber Election Nears
shifted to Saturday, March 18.
Deputy Governor of Ogun state, Noimot Salako – Oyedele is hard at work.
She is intent on proving her value on the re-election ticket of Governor Dapo Abiodun.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that Salako-Oyedele is currently in marathon meetings with youths in her political base, Ado-Odo Ota and its environs (Ogun West).
Information available revealed that the Deputy Governor is giving assurances of increased government projects and empowerment opportunities in the area in exchange for passionate support, and votes to secure a second term for Governor Abiodun as the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The election was initially fixed for Saturday, March 11, 2023, but has been shifted to Saturday, March 18, 2023.
A win for Abiodun retains Salako – Oyedele as the Deputy Governor of Ogun state for another four years.
And if votes from her area play a major role in the win, the electoral value of the deputy governor will be boosted as well.
SocietyNow.Ng gathered that she appears to be on the way to achieving this based on the feedback from some of the meetings.
Information at hand revealed that Salako-Oyedele’s meetings with the youths drawn across party lines are backed by elders and “prominent traditional rulers” who urge the youths to heed her calls.
“The indigene will always protect our interests card is strongly at play and the fact that the elders and rulers are granting her assurances is also helping” SocietyNow.Ng gathered.
The meetings are being held at the domains of “influential figures ” to validate “assurances” according to those in the know.
