Transport Boss, Tajudeen Agbede’s Position Threatened Over Alleged Double Dealing
The position of Alhaji Tajudeen Agbede, the popular Lagos transport boss is under threat.
Agbede is the current Chairman of the Lagos state chapter of National Union of Road Transport Workers.
He rose to the position with the combination of strong street connections and anointing by the party in control of the government of the State, All Progressives Congress.
‘Particularly the influence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’ a source divulged.
The Transport Union boss is staunch card carrying member of the All Progressives Congress.
Information available to societynowng revealed the present threat against his holding on to his position has root in show of commitment to the APC in the last general elections.

According to information gathered by societynowng, it was the kind of rapport he created and underground show of support for the PDP in Lagos state -and it’s gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje – that sparked off the talks and reports of defection from the APC.

Insiders disclosed it was when the talks went beyond his expectations and he was hinted it has ruffled feathers and Asiwaju Tinubu and his co travellers are taking it serious, exploring means to curtail the fallout defection by Agbede that the transport boss publicly back pedalled.
‘he saw the double dealing game going back and came all out to openly re state his commitment to APC and directed members of his union to vote for Ambode and other party flag bearers’ an informant recalled.
Societynowng.com learnt though he made a hurried u- turn, the fallout of his attempt is currently haunting him now that the APC retained control of government and went on to take over the Federal Government.

‘you need to understand how vital the transport union is to politicians, especially government and party in power…the Union is like a militant wing and it’s certainly won’t do to have a person playing two sides as head of such a strategic union’ an insider disclosed.
Sources disclosed Agbede is currently hard at work attempting to repair the damage done by his alleged double dealing in order to retain confidence of the APC and current government in power to hold on to seat – as well as secure re election.
It is however revealed that his opponents within and outside of the transport union are vigorous fanning the embers of conflicts decorating his person for the flames of distrust to consume him.
