The Macallan To Launch 2023 Limited Edition Of Classic Cut Series In Nigeria

World-renowned single malt Scottish whisky, The Macallan will launch its 2023 limited edition of the Classic Cut series In Lagos, Nigeria on May 12, 2024, at the ATAFO Studio in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition, a higher-strength single malt was created to deliver a full and heightened flavour. This edition, the seventh instalment, is part of a series of annual expressions that celebrate the brand’s ongoing commitment to creating whiskies of peerless character.

The Macallan Classic Cut series is a unique range of whiskies created by The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team. Each year, the team explores different cask types to produce a new expression with its distinctive character. For this latest release, The Macallan Whisky Maker, Steven Bremner, combined European and American oak casks to create a truly unique single malt whisky.

This is an exceptional whisky combining sweeter, lighter aromas and flavours from ex-bourbon American oak casks with the depth and complexity of The Macallan’s signature sherry-seasoned European oak casks. It has been bottled at 52.5% ABV, selected by the Whisky Maker as the optimum level to bring forth the full character of the single malt and reveal the distinct grapefruit flavour.
