Information filtering in revealed supporters of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s person of interest, Kingsley Kuku are experiencing a huge challenge.

Residents and some unknown individuals are seriously countering efforts at making the gubernatorial ambition of the man wanted for questioning over how he administered big money amnesty fund as Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs.

Sources disclosed to societynwng.com that Kuku’s gubernatorial posters are being defaced and removed as they are pasted all over town.

The posters announce is ambition to become the next governor of Ondo state.

Societynowng.com’s findings revealed while some residents remove it in the guise of defacing their structures, the reasons for removal and mutilation of the posters by those that fall into the category of unknown individuals are not clear cut.

Kuku scampered out of town in the midst of serious allegations over how he managed funds entrusted to his office after his principal lost re election at retaining the seat as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He left without honouring invitation by anti corruption agency, EFCC to come clear grey airs on some of the charges against him.

In the face of threats he would be declared wanted, the former presidential aide he claimed he travelled out of the country – United States of America – for medical reasons.

Barely weeks after, his supporters hit the streets of Ondo state with posters declaring his gubernatorial ambition.
And recently he inaugurated a campaign committee via press statement while still abroad.

According to a source with depth knowledge of the politics of the area the general perception is that Kuku is engaged in his current gubernatorial campaign antics to portray the impression of a man who has good reason to return to the country for both the EFCC, the sentiments of the general public as well as the authorities of the country he has scampered to.

Added revelations have it that outside of the charges against him, even if he is taken seriously, the politics of Ondo state is against him.
