The plot to unseat the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi has taken an alarming twist.

Emir Sanusi is about to be cut off from his biggest support base – the Presidency.

Stories that would cause disaffection between Emir Sanusi and President Muhammadu Buhari and his bakers have started coming to fore.

Emir Sanusi is accused of working against the emergence of President Buhari as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress in 2015 and is alleged to initiate moves to become the Vice President when there were fears over the health of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The shattering allegations were brought to the public space by Junaid Mohammed, a former lawmaker who is not a fan of Emir Sanusi.

According to information available to societynow.ng, the allegations introduces an alarming twist to raging efforts unseat the Emir of Kano by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

Insiders insist that President Buhari stands between Emir Sanusi and Governor Ganduje who has made major attempts to decimate the influence and stature of the Emir including splitting the emirates and demolishing property of the Emir in the name of developing the state.

”But the president’s support may not be guaranteed again as these embarrassing revelations filter out, it is a dangerous twist that will demand the President takes a decision that deters others from going against his interests that Emir Sanusi’s case has taken” a source pointed out.

Many believe that the revelation by Junaid Mohammed is the first set of many that would force President Buhari to let Governor Ganduje have is way as things go from bad to worse.

Governor Ganduje almost lost the 2019 election based on what he claims was the orchestration of Emir Sanusi – and has vowed to pay him back in kind.
