Governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun just abandoned a sneaky move at boosting the state’s revenue.

This development is attributed moves at preventing further drop in popularity amongst electorates.

Insiders confirmed Mr Amosun had initiated moves to effect erection of toll units on Ogun state roads, via the actions of the state House of Assemble.

A legislative sanction to empower the state helms man at logger heads with party leaders in his state is confirmed to have reached the stage of ‘just the formality of the governor’s assent’ to become law.

It is believed the Toll Collection would be model after that of sister state under the administration of the APC, Lagos.

But in the face of perceived loss of grip on the electorates in states his political party, All Progressives Congress (APC) hold sway – against the backdrop of the shock loss in Ekiti state – the governor is said to have suspended the action for now.
