Oyebanji, Segun Oni, Ifaki King Mull Healthcare, Infrastructure In Ekiti
emphasizing the need for community participation
Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving healthcare and infrastructure, emphasizing the need for community participation in sustaining government investments.
The governor made this known when he received a high-powered delegation from Ifaki Ekiti, led by former Governor Chief Segun Oni and the Olufaki of Ifaki Ekiti, HRM Oba Adegbenro Falore, alongside other community leaders.
Discussions at the meeting focused on development initiatives in the town, particularly enhancing access to quality healthcare. Oyebanji urged residents to patronize government hospitals, noting that an upgrade to specialist status for any general hospital would depend on its level of usage.
He also assured the delegation of ongoing efforts to tackle key infrastructural challenges, including electricity supply, road rehabilitation, and erosion control. He cited the ongoing 132/133KV substation project in Ilupeju and Ijesa Isu as a major step towards resolving the area’s power issues.
Appreciating Chief Segun Oni for his support and statesmanship, Oyebanji highlighted the importance of unity in advancing Ekiti State’s development. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to working for the well-being of the people, ensuring sustainable growth across communities.
