Omisore Campaign Disowns Viral ‘Stay Off’ Notice, Says Delegate Congress Holds
insisting it did not emanate from its office
The Osun Rescue Mission 2026, the campaign organisation of Senator Iyiola Omisore, has distanced itself from a viral statement circulating on social media urging members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to stay away from the party’s delegates congress scheduled for today.
In a statement e-signed by the Director-General of the campaign, Ajibola Famurewa, the organisation described the circulating notice as “irregular” and an “abuse of social media,” insisting it did not emanate from its office.
Famurewa said the release was neither authorised nor reflective of the campaign’s position, adding that even notable social media accounts had unfortunately fallen for the fake publication.
The Director-General urged party members to disregard the message entirely, stressing that participation or non-participation in the congress would not affect Omisore’s determination to pursue all legitimate electoral pathways available under the law. According to him, the camp remains committed to a democratic resolution of the ongoing party issues and believes a lawful end to the imbroglio is within reach.
Famurewa reiterated that the campaign had no link to the viral release and warned against the misuse of social media in sensitive political matters. He emphasized that Senator Omisore and his team were focused on due process and were not distracted by unauthorized statements being circulated online.
